Teeth Bleaching?

Has anyone ever used a home teeth bleaching kit? And did it work?

Teeth Bleaching?
Yes, I live on the coast and was mistaken for a lighthouse..
Reply:Hi Foxi. I used one that I bought from Boots a few years ago. It did work bu only temporarily. After a couple of weeks it had worn off.

Be careful though, I saw a TV programme a few weeks ago (might have been Watchdog); they were saying that the chemicals can be dangerous and suggested not to use them.
Reply:Yes used ,not that good ,long winded and a mouthache go to the dentist same day not ex amount of weeks.
Reply:if its safe i need it too
Reply:I used a mobile home whitening company.....£99 and it made no difference. I%26#039;m saving for a proper dentist.
Reply:You do realise that it%26#039;ll make you look fake especially if you have a tan. Why not just keep them clean.
Reply:i have and it did not work, i now use the one from the dentist and it is much better
Reply:i paid £300 at my dentist for a teeth whitening kit, i got the gel and a made to fit mould that you need. it worked but it took a while to see any difference and my teeth were very senitive afterwards for a few days.
Reply:Hi Foxi

Go to your dentist to get home whitening. You should have a check up before to ensure there are no cavities and a clean by the hygienist because any plaque on your teeth will stop the enamel below whitening, (patchy result)! Your teeth can become sensitive because they are porous, so you should use a high level fluoride toothpaste during bleaching. Avoid strongly coloured foods during the process - red wine, coffee, curry etc...

It does work but it will always require a top up from time to time.

If you really want to try shop bought product, be careful and use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, while you are using it, which will have a high fluoride content.

Hope it works.
Reply:These remedies should help. Lemon juice, baking soda or baking powder can also be used for teeth whitening. Rubbing the bark of walnut tree brightens the teeth. Strawberries are natural teeth whiteners, simply rub them directly on your teeth or mash into a paste and apply.More remedies and information regarding your teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/
